This photo was taken in Batu Ferringhi in the late-afternoon sun with the warm light illuminating the right side of the horse and owner, and creating a softer tone. On the beaches of Penang there are heaps of water-sports available: Jet Skiing, Paragliding, Banana Rides, etc; or you could ride along the beach on horse back. So this pair (in the photo) were nearly always waiting at the front gate of my hotel :) .

I was recently in Penang, Malaysia and relaxed on the beach for a few days. I took some interesting shots of the locals as you might see in photos to come as apart of my shot of the day series. So stay around and I hope you enjoy my photographs :) !

I was in the Netherlands in September 2009 for a short time, and managed to fill my CF-Card with a few hundred photographs. This shot was taken opposite the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, I thought it would turn out nicely with the yellow window eves and wooden canal boat with ‘Amsterdam’ written on the stern.

This was taken on the rocks at Mooloolaba, Queensland. I was experimenting with long exposures to create a dreamy effect with the crashing waves, however the photograph is lacking warmth and unfortunately in Mooloolaba the Sun sets in the opposite direction to the open seas, so the lighting was very cool.

This was taken back in September 2009 when I was in Toulouse, France. It was near a small Cafe that served awesome crepes with whipped cream about 20cm high off the plate :), and the Cafe was right on the road, so I had the chance to experiment a bit with my camera settings, while I ate these delicious crepes!
